You look at patterns of history, cycles of civilizations, the ever increasing push of mankind to evolve and improve...

Science is continuing to examine itself, thank god. What was fact one hundred years ago was fiction one hundred years before that. What was fact one hundred years ago has been examined, scrutinized, and refined today. We push forward, eager to know more, and be more.

It's funny to me, then, looking at religion, and how people resolutely cling to the past to tell them how to live.
If the science, the technology, the politics, and the morality of our forefathers has evolved and progressed, why is it so impossible to think that maybe our religion should do the same?
