So Friday's Valentine's Day. Yep, I'm thinking I might actually celebrate it this year. Normally I'd not think twice about it.
I mean, what is it about Valentine's Day which suddenly makes a person want to be in love? And what is it that makes those in love suddenly more in love? It seems stupid that you could lay blame for all this insipid lovey-dovey crap on a day reserved for a dead Saint.
Then again, we allow that a fat man riding flying reigndeer somehow ties in with the birth of Jesus, and a rabbit who leaves chocolate everywhere somehow relates the message of his death.
So I guess I'm not really surprised.
But wait, I said I was thinking I'd celebrate Valentine's Day this year... Well, my girlfriend and I don't really celebrate anniversaries. At least, we don't for the monthlies. I don't know if she'll start when we hit the one year mark (cue doom music).
Anyway. I thought that since she knows (or at least I hope she knows) how much I love her, respect her, etc. It might be fun to use that day to make sure she also knows how much I appreciate her. Everything about her.
So here's my quandry... How? What should I do that day? I'm askin for a little help on this one...
