My mom sent me this one... 05/18/2004

I got this one sent to me in an email... I hit "reply to all" and posted a response... You can read it at the end.

How ironic is this??!! They don't even believe in Christ and they're getting their own Christmas stamp, but don't dream of posting the ten commandments on federal property?

USPS New Stamp

This one is impossible to believe.
If there is only one thing you forward today.....let it be this!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of PanAm Flight 103!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the military barracks in Saudi Arabia!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001!

REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!

Now the United States Postal Service REMEMBERS and HONORS the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a commemorative first class holiday postage stamp.

REMEMBER to adamantly and vocally BOYCOTT this stamp when purchasing your stamps at the post office.
To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.

REMEMBER to pass this along to every patriotic AMERICAN you know.

First things first Anyone with half a brain realizes that Christ and Christmas arent mutually exclusive to each other. And they never have been. For more info on that subject you can click here.

And secondly, Im not sure how you can complain of not posting the Ten Commandments on federal property Especially in an email pandering to the patriotic AMERICAN[s] (Since in a democracy its only the patriotic ones who have a say) Any truly patriotic American knows that our country was founded on religious freedom, and specifically designed to be free from any government sponsored religion. If there was a religious icon from every religion included with the ten commandments, then I can understand a true patriots indignation at it not being allowed.

And now, concerning the meat of the message:
This has got to be one of the most religiously intolerant and racially bigoted emails Ive ever received. How dare someone infer that because a few Muslims have caused trouble, that all of them are evil. That the American citizens who happen to be Muslim are some how at fault for the actions of their religious extremists, and that America should not recognize or honor our Muslim citizens with a holiday stamp.

Funny, I dont hear any anger over a Hanukah stamp: even though the atrocities Israel commits against Palestine are just as bad, and they dont believe in Christ either. Oh, thats right, they are Gods chosen people, with the full backing of the American government Atrocities in the name of God and country are okay its the heathen atrocities that we dont tolerate.

Try thinking things through a little further before forwarding such tripe to patriotic Americans.

Still paddlin' the old knew...
