So I was reading up on the Selective Service... That's the draft, by the way... and what it takes to get out of it legally, should they ever reinstate it.
Turns out, I'm exempt! Practicing ordained ministers are exempt from the draft. And since I send out semi-monthly cyber-sermons, that constitutes practicing... (A new one is in the works, by the way. It'll be a bit before I send it out, however... Still collecting info)
Still, anyone who can prove that they are against war in general can avoid getting drafted... though you have to spend the time you would have been serving doing community service. Still, that's better than shooting people. And it's way better than being shot at.
Anyway...
I know it's fun to be ordained, and say a bunch of wierd/funny/political shit... but I was raised in a religious home, and went to a religious school from Kindergarten through high school. So I know quite a bit about religion. I also know quite a bit about shit that religion likes to keep quiet about... so as an ordained minister, if anyone has any sort of questions for me, of any nature (it doesn't have to be strictly religious, ministers are counselors after all), I'll be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.
